Designed to comply with or surpass ANSI, IEEE, NEMA, DOE, RUS, and CSA standards, the product delivers dependable performance, enhanced safety, and extended operational life. It is precisely engineered and thoroughly tested in accordance with ANSI C57.12.00, C57.12.21, C57.12.25, C57.12.28, and C57.12.90 standards to ensure reliable functionality and durable enclosure integrity.
Built with a dead-front, tamper-resistant construction, the unit is suitable for both loop feed and radial feed systems. The crowned or domed tank cover helps reduce water accumulation, enhancing durability and supporting reliable outdoor performance. The cabinet and tank are manufactured from mild steel or stainless steel and finished with advanced corrosion-resistant coatings that surpass IEEE standards for long-term protection.
To simplify handling and installation, the unit is designed with recessed lifting provisions and a removable sill. Improved security and accessibility are provided through flip-top or hinged doors equipped with stainless steel hinge pins, captive penta-head or hex-head locking bolts, and padlock arrangements. A laser-engraved aluminum nameplate along with NEMA/ANSI compliant warning labels ensures clear product identification and promotes safe operation.
The unit is equipped with externally clamped 200 A high-voltage bushing wells, making it suitable for both loop feed and radial feed applications. It also incorporates externally clamped low-voltage threaded stud or spade-type bushings to provide dependable and secure electrical connectivity.
Built-in parking stands allow safe placement of elbow connectors, while tank ground pads and a removable ground strap help maintain reliable and efficient grounding performance.
Integrated parking stands provide safe support for elbow connectors, while tank ground pads and a removable ground strap ensure reliable and effective grounding performance.
The transformer is filled with new, unused electrical-grade mineral oil or Envirotemp™ FR3™ fluid, an ester-based dielectric coolant valued for its environmentally friendly and fire-resistant characteristics. It includes a top-mounted oil fill and level plug, along with a bottom drain plug fitted with a sampling device to simplify maintenance and fluid monitoring.
The unit is also designed to support optional temperature, liquid level, and pressure vacuum gauges based on application requirements. To enhance system safety and ensure dependable operation, optional under-oil surge arresters and grounding connectors may also be incorporated.
Every unit undergoes extensive ANSI/IEEE routine testing, including polarity, ratio, resistance, no-load and load losses, impedance, dielectric, induced voltage, impulse, and leak tests to verify reliable operation and superior manufacturing quality. The transformer also complies with DOE energy efficiency standards and meets NEMA TR-1 audible sound level requirements for reduced noise and efficient performance.
